The 2016 Tour de Qinghai Lake in China got off to a bad start as someone who either was supremely oblivious to his surroundings or exhibiting suicidal tendencies decided to stroll across the street and into the sprinting peloton. When a walking man meets a hundred or so cyclists doing about 75 km/h, things don’t end well.

According to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in the pileup, and many others got road-rashed. Nasty.

Neil Horan was not apparently in China at the time.
